Basic
characterization of the school
The school started
working in 1968. It is situated in the calm surroundings
in Prague 10 - Malešice. It´s one of the bigger schools
in this district of Prague.
The school has got two levels (1st level is from 1st to
5th form, 2nd level is from 6th to 9th form). There are
about 500 children at school and up to 24 pupils in a
class.
Little children can join the youth centre.
All pupils can have their lunch in the school canteen,
where they can choose one of two or three meals and they
can also buy there snacks.
The school is equipped with all neccessary special
studies, e.g. labs for chemistry, physics and biology,
special studies for languages, geography and history,
schoolrooms for drama classes and music education, there
is a workshop for working with wood and metal. Children
can borrow books in a school library.
The school can boast about two special classrooms for
studying computer programming, equipped with a modern
appliances.
In the school campus you can find two perfectly equipped
gyms, a new modern playground with the artificial surface
and you can use fit centre which is also daily attended
by public up to 22 p.m. every day including Saturdays and
Sundays.
Children at school are educated according to their
individual talent and interests. The school offers many
optional subjects, as foreign languages (English, German)
and conversation in them, drama classes, chemical
practics, history seminar, sport games or computer
programming. Children also can attend variety of hobby
groups - such as computer programming, biology, art,
music education, club of theatre goers. Every year our
school organizes courses preparing pupils for the exams
to secondary and high schools.
School sport club is very popular among our pupils.
Children can try lots of sports, e.g. basketball,
football, aerobics, karate, very popular floorball,
swimming, rock´n´roll, chess and draughts. Every year
there are organized skiing courses, open-air school,
biology excursions combined with mountain trekking.
Children often go to theatres, museums, they do
sightseeings, children organize some of culture or sport
actions themselves e.g. table tennis tournament or
streetball.
Children also edit a school periodical.
Our pedagogical team includes eight men (besides the
headmaster). The techers are active also out of school,
they have got various functions within the district, they
publish in magazines, edit books.
The school building is under gradual reconstruction,
including sport area. The school prepares establishing a
new "Sport centre" and "Infocentre"
with an internet club for children and all public of
Prague 10.
Die Schulcharakteristic
Die Schule befindet sich in Prag 10 - Malešice.
Sie hat im Jahre 1968 ihren Betrieb
aufgenommen und hat zwei Stufen:
1. Die Grundstufe mit den Klassen 1 - 5
2. Die Oberstufe mit den Klassen 5 - 9.
Hier werden ca. 500 Kinder unterrichtet.
Jede Klasse hat eine Stärke von ca. 24
Schülern.
Kleine Kinder können den Hort besuchen und
für alle gibt es in der
Schulküche Mittagessen (zwei Essen zur
Auswahl).
Am Vormittag kann in der Schulküche auch das
Pausenbrot gekauft werden.
Die Schule verfügt über spezielle
Lehrklassen, wie z.B. eine
- Chemie-Klasse
- Physik-Klasse
- Biologie-Klasse
- Fremdsprachen-Klasse
- Geografie-Klasse
- Geschichte-Klasse
- Theater-Klasse
- Musik-Klasse und 2 Computer-Klassen.
Ferner verfügt die Schule über eine eigene
Werkstatt und eine Bibliothek, in der Bücher ausgeliehen
werden können.
Im sportlichen Bereich stehen 2 moderne
Turnhallen und ein sehr moderner
Sportplatz mit einer Lufthalle zur Verfügung,
die auch von der
Öffentlichkeit genutzt werden kann.
Die Schule bietet viele freiwillige Fächer
an, in denen Schüler nach ihren
Talenten und Interessen unterrichtet und
gefördert werden, wie z.B.
Fremdsprachen (Deutsch / Englisch),
Konversation, Theaterspielen,
Chemiepraktikum, Geschichtsseminar,
Computer-Programmierung und Sportspiele.
Sehr beliebt unter den Schülern ist unser
Sportclub, der in der Association
SPORT für alle eingegliedert ist.
So besteht u.a. die Möglichkeit zum
Basketballspiel, Fußball, Aerobic,
Karate, Floorball, Rock'n Roll und
Schachspielen.
Jedes Jahr organisiert unsere Schule Skikurse
und bietet
Biologie-Exkursionen ins Gebirge an, um den
Schülern die Natur
näherzubringen.
Die Schüler besuchen oft Theater, Museen bzw.
sie organisieren auch selbst
verschiedene Sport- und Kulturveranstaltungen.
In unserem Pädagogen-Team sind 6 Männer
tätig.
Alle Lehrer haben verschiedene Funktionen und
sind auch außerhalb ihrer
schulischen Tätigkeiten sehr aktiv. Sie
schreiben Bücher und tragen zu
Berichterstattungen in Zeitungen bei.
Die Schule ist ein Sport- und
Informationszentrum mit
Internet-Verbindung, - auch für die
Öffentlichkeit im Prager Stadtteil
Malešice.
